The all-new Kia K4 is here, replacing the Ceed with sharper styling, greater interior space and a broader choice of electrified powertrains.
Positioned alongside the all-electric Kia EV4, the K4 is designed for drivers who still want petrol or mild hybrid power while benefiting from modern technology and lower running costs.
The 2026 K4’s proportions immediately stand out. Longer, wider and lower than many rivals, it combines a sleek silhouette with a spacious cabin and strong road presence. Distinctive LED lighting and sculpted bodywork give it a more confident and premium appearance than the outgoing Ceed.
Inside, the K4 introduces a more advanced cabin environment inspired by Kia’s latest electric models. A panoramic-style display layout combines a 12.3-inch digital driver display, 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen, and a 5.3-inch climate screen.
Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are included as standard, while GT-Line and GT-Line S models add features such as Digital Key functionality, heated and ventilated seats, and a Harman Kardon audio system.
Practicality remains a major strength. Rear passengers benefit from impressive legroom, while up to 438 litres of boot space ensures the K4 handles luggage, shopping and weekend gear with ease.
Look out for a new Sportswagon estate variant, which will add even greater versatility.
Drivers can choose from four powertrains, including petrol and mild hybrid options. Entry-level models use a 1.0-litre T-GDi mild hybrid engine, which produces 113 bhp and is available with either a manual gearbox or dual-clutch automatic transmission.
GT-Line grades can be specified with a 1.6-litre T-GDi engine producing 147 bhp, while flagship GT-Line S trims offer 177 bhp and 0-62 mph time of just 8.4 seconds.
The K4 also introduces a comprehensive suite of driver assistance systems, including Adaptive Cruise Control, Forward Collision-avoidance Assist and Lane-keep Assist, each designed to make day-to-day driving safer and more relaxing.
Despite its arresting looks, the K4 remains focused on comfort, usability and value. Combined with Kia’s seven-year/100,000-mile warranty, it aims to deliver reassuring ownership alongside contemporary styling and technology.
